Jaynes Corp. was awarded "Project of the Year" for their commitment to carbon, energy, water, waste, transportation, materials, health and indoor environmental quality for the student housing project.
The San Juan College Housing Project, Nizhóní Sunrise Suites, won the Associated General Contractors of New Mexico (AGC NM) award for LEED Certifiable Project of the Year. AGM NM is the trusted professional source that delivers a unified voice and represents the entire construction industry in New Mexico.
Winning attributes
To achieve LEED certification, a project earns points by adhering to prerequisites and credits that address carbon, energy, water, waste,
transportation, materials, health and indoor environmental quality. “We are humbled and honored to receive this prestigious award from NM AGC” says Jeremiah Hayes, Jaynes Corporation Area Manager. “This celebrates Jaynes and San Juan College’s commitment to building amazing projects that enrich our community.”
A 20 year journey
The completion and opening of Nizhóní Sunrise Suites mark a 20-year journey to provide students with on-site housing. The
