This spectacular event will take place on the Henderson Fine Arts Center (HFAC) lawn and parking lots.

Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m., with the balloon glow lighting up the night at dusk.

Evening Entertainment and Activities
Starting at 5:30 p.m., the evening will be filled with food, fun, and entertainment. Highlights include performances by:
- Joe Tohonnie Jr. and the White Mountain Apache Crown Dancers
- San Juan College African Drumming Ensemble
- Aerialist Emma Boone
- Navajo Hoop Dancers Isreal Zahne and Paha Sapa Zahne
In addition to the live performances, food trucks will be on-site offering a wide variety of delicious food, drinks, and treats. Student-sponsored booths will feature carnival games, face painting, and other exciting activities, including balloon animal crafting by Ruby Balloon.
Special After-Glow Concert
New this year, enjoy an After-Glow Concert featuring singer and musician Shannon LaSalle. LaSalle's diverse musical repertoire includes pop, classic rock, oldies, and country. She has performed on the Nashville Network and in Branson, Missouri. The concert is free and will take place from 7:45 – 8:45 p.m. in front of the Henderson Fine Arts Center.
A Magical Community Tradition
“The Balloon Glow has become one of San Juan College’s favorite events to host,” says Dr. Toni Hopper Pendergrass, President of SJC. “Watching the families, spectators, and especially the children’s faces light up as the balloons glow is truly magical.”
Part of the Four Corners Balloon Rally
The 2024 San Juan College Balloon Glow is part of the larger City of Farmington Four Corners Balloon Rally, happening from September 27 to September 29. The weekend schedule includes:
- Friday, September 27: Balloon ascensions at Farmington Lake, 7 a.m.
- Friday, September 27: San Juan College Balloon Glow, 5:30-8 p.m.
- Saturday, September 28: Balloon ascensions at Piedra Vista High School, 7 a.m.
- Saturday, September 28: Balloon Glow in Downtown Farmington, 6-8 p.m.
- Sunday, September 29: Balloon ascensions at Piedra Vista High School, 7 a.m.
