KSJE 90.9 FM will hold its annual Zero Mile Fun Run at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, May 18, at the San Juan College (SJC) Learning Commons Plaza.
“The KSJE Zero Mile Fun Run is a great way for the community to support KSJE,” said General Manager Scott Michlin. “It’s as easy as it gets – zero training required, as it is literally zero miles.” he added while munching on a sugary donut.
Registrants receive a commemorative Zero Mile Fun Run T-shirt and are encouraged to “run” the course as often as they like. The course spans a slightly downhill stretch, about 15 feet long, with chairs and a water station mid-way. You will be a Zero Mile Achiever before you know it!
In conjunction with the event, SJC Departments compete to win the coveted Zero Mile Fun Run Traveling Trophy, which has resided in Administrative Services for several years.
The Zero Mile Fun Run is an annual fundraiser for community-supported KSJE. KSJE provides a variety of local news and entertainment programming that isn’t available anywhere else, and it does so 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, from studios at San Juan College.
Lace-up your sneakers, bring a blanket or lawn chair, and enjoy a spring morning on the beautiful SJC campus. You’ll come away with a Zero Mile Fun Run T-shirt and the ability to say, “I did it. It was nothing!”
Register in advance for $15 through May 10 at or for $20 at the event on Saturday, May 18. For more information about the Zero Mile Fun Run or KSJE, call 505-566-3517.
