San Juan College (SJC) proudly announces its continued partnership with the All Within My Hands (AWMH) Foundation as it returns for a second year with the Metallica Scholars Program.
This collaboration marks another milestone in the ongoing commitment of Metallica’s Foundation to invest in critical workforce programs at community colleges nationwide.
What began with 10 colleges and mostly manufacturing programs has developed into a diverse offering of workforce opportunities for students interested in gaining the skills and training necessary to find meaningful and well-paying careers.
At SJC, students can use Metallica Scholars funding to help pay for training in the following fields,
- Automotive Technology
- Building Trades & Construction
- Diesel Technology
- Industrial Maintenance Technology
- Mechanical Design
- Welding
Furthermore, funds extend beyond the classroom, and can be used to provide essential supportive services such as counseling, addressing food insecurity, ensuring reliable transportation, and offering childcare solutions.
Up to 80 San Juan College students will benefit directly this academic year with scholarships from the grant.
