Earn College Credit While Exploring the World with San Juan College Travel Study Program

San Juan College’s Travel Study Program offers you the opportunity to step beyond the boundaries of the Four Corners and immerse yourself in exciting destinations while earning academic credit. This short-term program blends education with real-world experiences, allowing you to learn directly from SJC faculty while exploring diverse cultures and environments.

Our travel study courses bring learning to life. Study topics such as biodiversity in Costa Rica, the Italian Renaissance math and art in Italy, or immerse yourself in Japanese culture in Japan. Each program takes your education out of the classroom and into a global setting for hands-on, life-changing experiences.

Who Can Join?

Anyone over the age of 18 can participate in San Juan College Travel Study Programs by becoming an SJC student. Enrolling is quick, easy, free, and entirely online. Once you’ve applied for admission and received your student ID, you’ll be eligible to apply for these unique travel opportunities. Please note: high school students enrolled in dual credit courses are not eligible for travel study programs.

The Global Studies Committee is dedicated to enriching intercultural awareness and to promoting international understanding among our students and community members.

The Global Studies Committee creates opportunities for the SJC community to learn about the wider world by providing an international and intercultural context to education.  We schedule and sponsor presentations and activities of an international/intercultural nature. Additionally, we provide expertise and sponsorship for travel-study trips.  Global Studies brings an international context to the SJC community through co-curricular and high-impact learning.
