Are dreams merely the brain’s way of discharging excess stimulation from the previous day…or do they occupy a world just as valid & vibrant as waking life? Have you ever woken up with a dream fragment—an image or sensation that eludes you yet leaves you a bit uneasy all day? Why do dream symbol lists fall short? Why does a nightmare hold such emotional power, and how can we neutralize its effects to unlock concealed wisdom? The phenomenon of dreaming life has held a fascinating role in history, art and psychology. Join us as we visit each of those areas in various media, as well as practicing several approaches to working with personal dreams.

Find adventure and connection at the SJC Challenge Course!

For more than 30 years, the SJC HECC (High Endeavors Challenge Course) has been serving students of all ages and abilities in Farmington and the Four Corners region; here is your chance to explore and experience it for yourself. Personal and group challenges await as you navigate the physical, social, and mental obstacles.

Participants commit to their own growth, the group, safety, and fun as they confront and solve challenges and problems. This class balances outdoor, physical, and problem-solving activities with classroom discussion, stories, and a small amount of lecture that will grow your confidence and fun. Expect to be outside for most of the class- with some indoor alternatives in the event of poor weather. While most ability and fitness levels can be accommodated for, participants will get the most out of the experience if they have the ability to walk over uneven surfaces (like a trail) and be able to participate as a team member to accomplishing basic physical tasks.

Minimum of 9 participants are needed to make this class happen.
