Well Control Curriculum:

The School of Energy's curriculum meets the requirements and guidelines set forth by the IADC.

This advanced Well Control course is designed for individuals in supervisory or oversight roles, including wellsite leaders, company personnel, engineers, and managers. Participants will gain the practical tools, techniques, and confidence needed to respond effectively to well control situations.

Training includes:

  • Kick detection and shut-in procedures
  • Kill sheet completion and pressure calculations
  • Workover operations and well control strategies

Our instruction combines IADC-compliant curriculum with real-world application, preparing you for high-pressure scenarios in both drilling and completion environments.

Course Duration:
Five-day course, including WellSharp testing time.

This supervisor-level course is designed for professionals with oversight responsibilities, including wellsite leaders, company men, engineers, and managers.

Participants will gain a strong foundation along with specialized training in:

  • Workover well control procedures
  • Coil Tubing
  • Snubbing
  • Wireline Operations

Training is aligned with IADC Wellsharp standards.

Course Duration:
Five-day course, including WellSharp testing.

This Operator-level course is designed for service company personnel and field operators involved in well servicing and intervention work.

Participants will enhance their operational skills and deepen their understanding of well control procedures through practical, targeted instruction in:

  • Workover operations
  • Coil tubing activities
  • Snubbing practices
  • Wireline procedures

Training is structured in accordance with IADC WellSharp standards to ensure up-to-date knowledge and field-ready performance.

Course Duration:
Five-day course, including WellSharp test time.
