Student Mental Health Counseling
We’re here to help you with your mental health. You can talk to a counselor in person or online.
College life can be stressful — you don’t have to handle it alone. San Juan College Counseling Services offers free support to help you with whatever you’re facing. Whether it’s stress, anxiety, or just needing someone to talk to, we’re here for you.
Who Can Use Counseling Services?
You are eligible for counseling if you are:
- Registered in any San Juan College credit class
Not sure if you qualify? Contact us and we’ll help you find the right support.
Two Types of Counseling Appointments
1. In-Person Counseling (On Campus)
Talk one-on-one with a counselor in a private, safe space.
How to schedule:
- Log in to the Student Health Portal using your SJC email and password, then choose a time (this is the easiest way!)
- You can also:
- Call: (505) 566-4255
- Visit: Student Health Center, Room 55501
Late or Need to Cancel?
We appreciate you arriving on time for your appointment.
- If you will be late, please call us at (505) 566-4255
- If you need to cancel or reschedule, let us know at least 24 hours in advance. Call (505) 566-4255 or email counseling4mentalhealth@sanjuancollege.edu.
Your communication helps us offer that time to another student who needs support. We work hard to serve all students, and we appreciate your patience and respect for everyone’s time.
If you are 15 minutes late or more, your appointment may be rescheduled.
2. Teletherapy Counseling with Uwill
Connect with a licensed counselor anytime — from anywhere. Uwill offers students free immediate access to teletherapy, a direct crisis connection and wellness programming through its easy to use online platform. Uwill is private, secure, and confidential.
To schedule teletherapy:
- Create a profile with Uwill using your San Juan College student email.
- Choose a therapist based on your preferences, including availability, issue, gender, language, and ethnicity.
- Choose a time that fits your schedule with day, night, and weekend availability.
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, help is available 24/7/365 - Call (833) 646-1526.
